PANDORA magazine™’s
premiere issue will take readers on a journey from today’s harsh
reality into the surreal dreamworld of fantasy and myth. The articles

Our first Area13 showcases the top thirteen submissions received for
PANDORA magazine™’s First Issue Cover Contest.The winning
image on the front cover of our first issue was created by England-based
illustrator,Tom Hamlyn.

Web logging, known as blogging, is an aspect of Internet culture that
can no longer be ignored.Although the word ‘blog’ won’t
be found in the pages of Webster’s, blogs have outgrown their
underground roots to become mega websites receiving more hits than their
dot-com siblings.

Contents Under Pressure: Josh Aron Edelman
While secretive and mysterious, this Rutgers University graduate has
produced surreal and emotionally extroverted work that will no doubt
soon put him on NYC’s gallery hot list.

Crazy as a Fox:The Art of Zak Kramer
Zak Kramer, also known as “Crazyquilt”, is a comic book
artist, fine artist and musician who has been publishing his serial
comics online since 1998. Join us as he introduces our readers to Jack,
the esoteric blue coyote in his Journey to the West.

Damn Lovelys
In their own words, The Damn Lovelys openly talk about Trouble Creek,
the debut album that has already earned the Hoboken, New Jersey quartet
critical praise from publications such as Harp, Guitar
World and The Village Voice.

Dissecting Jason Beam
Jason Beam is an internationally known award-winning digital dark artist,
who owns and operates his own fine art gallery, is employed at Walker
Design Group as a full-time graphic designer, and also teaches at Montana
State University College of Technology. His artwork has been seen around
the world, and has been featured at prominent galleries in Japan and
France.

Dorian Cleavenger
One of the most renowned fantasy illustrators of our time, Dorian Cleavenger,
seduces us with realms of erotic fantasy mingled with images of powerful
goddesses, demons, angels and androids. Cleavenger’s exotic paintings
temporarily transport his audience from the mundane to the extraordinary.

Linda Kertzman
Linda Kertzman has been a successful fantasy doll artist and teacher
for well over twenty years. Her magic-filled world of fairies, elves
and whimsical characters comes to life in an enchanted garden of her
own crafting.

Mythmaker: Stephanie Pui-Mun Law
At night, Stephanie Pui-Mun Law scribbles away at her desk conjuring
mythical creatures and mystical lands from her imagination. Inspired
by the mythology and legends of various cultures, her art is not simply
fantasy; it is the fantastic, and exemplifies a sense of wonder.

L’ Arte de Patrice Murciano
Courbisme is a term created by French painter, Patrice Murciano. It
is a word that describes his art, his dreams and the eclectic erotic
shapes and colors inherent throughout his vibrant work. His paintings
are sharp and edgy but also whimsical. His art glorifies the female
form and exudes femininity through abstraction. Inspired by what he
calls,“Woman with a capital ‘W’,” Patrice‘s
painted canvas
is a true tribute to the subject of his idolatry.

Marc Potts
Marc Potts is a pagan artist and author, who draws inspiration for his
art from nature, ritual visualization and dreams. Marc’s visionary
art has recently received wide acclaim through the exposure of his work
on book and magazine covers (most notably as a cover artist for Pagan
Dawn magazine, The Cauldron and the Australian publication,
Pagan Times).

George Sarah
LA-based electronic musician and multi-instrumentalist, George Sarah,
has released over twenty independent recordings since going solo in
1998. He has collaborated with artists such as T.H.C., Stereotaxic Device
and Anthony Stewart Head.

Very Very
The pleasantly eclectic band,Very Very plays their own blend of music
they have dubbed "Pop Lounge” comprised of well-crafted song
arrangements that exhibit a wicked mix of sophistication and whimsy.

John William Waterhouse
One of the most skilled and inspired painters of England’s Victorian
era, John William Waterhouse (1849-1917) fused the boundaries between
academic classicism and romantic emotion.
